About us
Our mission
The Association aims to awaken our Solidarity Conscience.
On the one hand, we promote skills-based volunteering as a true tool of civic engagement and international solidarity, while making it a lever for gaining meaningful professional experience. By fully integrating it into the valuing of every associative journey, we strengthen the impact of these commitments. Thanks to our coaching and support methods, developing skills and soft skills becomes a central focus of every journey, making any associative commitment even more relevant, structuring and impactful.
On the other hand, we work to raise awareness of the 5 pillars that form the foundation of our movement. Here they are:
Our 5 pillars of commitment
The humanist sector brings together all themes focused on human rights.
The animal sector revolves around promoting and developing animal rights.
The ecology sector covers themes around protecting ecosystems, biodiversity and the environment.
The humanimal sector is the philosophy of developing better solutions for coexistence.
The solidarity sector gathers topics of mutual aid for people in difficulty.
Our history
Sabine RANSON founded the ARCS association in France just before the COVID-19 pandemic, responding to the needs emerging at the time. The association launched projects to support vulnerable people, notably by making masks and organising local solidarity initiatives.
As the crisis evolved, ARCS resumed its awareness-raising role on specific themes. In parallel came the creation and official recognition of the International ARCS Federation, which made it possible to develop new entities attached to our Association.
In short, ARCS, created by Sabine RANSON, was able to adapt and respond to the challenges of the COVID-19 crisis, while growing internationally.
Our values
VALUING MEMBERS
We care deeply about our members
We strive to meet the expectations and the needs of our teams, showing empathy, gathering their views and anticipating their reactions to the decisions we make. Moreover, by paying particular attention to the fulfilment of our skills-based volunteers and to valuing associative journeys, we foster the quality working dynamic that everyone deserves and that we support with pride.
USEFULNESS
Being useful is part of our DNA.
We are quick to lend a virtual hand, to offer support and to lift each other up while providing a constructive perspective when the situation calls for it. Helpfulness goes beyond our borders, because we are convinced that mutual aid and mutual support allow us to create a positive impact together.
TRANSPARENCY
We are open, honest and direct.
We proactively share information by acting according to context, creating alignment and enabling the team to do its best wherever it is. Being thoughtful and intentional is essential to build the high-performing team we are and strive to be.
PERSEVERANCE
We don't give up when things get tough.
We have a responsibility to one another and we are committed to always progressing and solving challenges with determination. Our teams deserve the best of us, which is why we tirelessly seek the most effective solutions to reach excellence, never settling for the status quo.
BETTER TOGETHER
There is opportunity for everyone at ARCS.
We are committed to creating an environment where everyone feels valued, listened to and fully encouraged to give their best. This mindset nurtures innovation, strengthens bonds and fosters an inclusive working environment, essential to achieving our vision.
